Nu har den nya sajten varit igång en dryg månad. Jag skrev ett enkelt program som skapar lite statistik (jag hann inte sätta upp ELK innan jag åkte). Jag blev lite orolig när jag fick SMS om strömavbrott hemma, men det körs som ett cron-job på en Raspberry Pi och nästa dag kördes programmet som det skulle.

Har loggfiler sparade (anonymiserade) och skall importera dem i ELK för bättre statistik. #python #elk

I just installed #Phanpy (a web based #Mastodon client) and I’m loving the catch-up feature plus you can do quote posts (I haven’t tried this yet)

The only thing I’m missing from #Elk is the ability to compose a thread of posts, but #VivaldiSocial has a pretty good sized character limit so this ain’t really a problem.

Aspen saplings only grow in the mountains of southern New Mexico if you protect them from deer and elk.

This sapling was ravaged last year by deer, but this year it's got a chicken wire cage. Now the sapling is not only growing but already putting out a second wave of new shoots and leaves even though the first leaves are less than a month old.

One from the archives today. Lots of errands today and office cleaning so no pictures today. This was from Rocky Mountain National Park a few years ago. I sat with the herd most of the day in the rain (comfortably in my car, of course) and thoroughly enjoyed watching them and filling up data cards.
