Today I posted asking people what podcasts they've been listening to lately.
I didn't realise that it would be such a honeypot question for incels and manosphere nonsense, and now I'm wondering if I should just ban them all from the group.

Thank you to everyone who replied to my last post. It helps to know I’m not the only one who feels this way. I’m seeing a therapist to work on attachment stuff, which helps a bit.
I wanted to ask more about online communities. That’s where I feel most myself. I’m in a few Facebook groups and subreddits, and I’d be open to WhatsApp, Discord, or Messenger chats—if they’re neurodivergent-friendly. But I still find it hard to actually join in.
I’m never sure when it’s okay to jump into a conversation. If people are chatting, can I just reply with my thoughts? Or is it weird if I wasn’t already part of it? I overthink it every time.
I also really struggle to start from scratch. I can’t just message someone or say hi out of the blue. I’m fine once someone talks to me—I bounce off what they say. It’s the starting that’s hard. Same online. Posts like this are easier, but just saying “hi I’m new” feels impossible.
Not sure I’m saying this right, but I hope my #AuDHD friends get what I mean.

Today, a discussion started about what people are doing on the weekend, I mentioned that classes start again on Monday so I'll probably be reading. This lead to one of the guys in the group ranting about the state of university education and how it's "been dumbed down so the foreign students pass!" (it hasn't)
So, I deleted his comment and gave him a warning that we aren't doing a racism in the group, and if he kept it up he'd be banned.
Then one of the women jumped in with a "not to be racist, but I agree" comment.. so she got banned immediately (and banned from the kink group I also run).
The guy came back with a whole "well tell me how I was racist, I didn't single out a specific race!" multi-paragraph screed.. so he got banned as well.
"Anyone else interested in getting banned? Because I have the time to spend this afternoon."
Like, how did you all think that was going to go? Sheesh.
