Some more progress was made in #FinalFantasyVI!
After my visit to the empire's palace, I was asked to aid them in their search for the espers, looking for "peace"
I've also reunited with a couple of party members!

The plot thickens in #FinalFantasyVI
This part of the game was kind of stressful! But I managed to get the best outcome, so I'm happy.
Lots of loot to get now, and then we gotta find the espers!

With the game for the month being #FinalFantasyVI, how can I not go with Terra's theme? There are 32 entries on #OCReMix which use it at least partially, but I'm going with one of the oldest. AmIEvil's "Death on the Snowfield."
Time for a FFVI Fan Song: This time we've got a song about Edgar Figaro! Hope you like this one.

While looking into bugfix patches for FF6, I came across a graphical error I've never considered wrong for over 30 years. The Flash tool's sprite was always in the wrong spot and Gi Nattak fixed it for all three GBA releases as well as on SNES in 2022. I'm so accustomed to this I don't know how to feel about using it. It looks like Gi Nattak also felt similarly, including an "anti" patch for GBA.
I've had to use #adb in #debian due that Android 11 or higher It does not allow to see the content of the 'Android/data' folder.
It is the unique method to copy the data saved file from Final Fantasy VI
I usually play with #retroarch in PC and #lemuroid in #Android
Now I can playing it in my smartphone. muahaha
I'm stuck doing a puzzle in #finalfantasyvi :blobcatpats:
I promised to myself I will not see hints and guides.
I want to do it myself.
I have a question for #FinalFantasyVI veterans.
Does this game have a "haha, you neglected to grind up all characters, get fucked" story beat?
This happened to me in FF X, where I spent the whole game with my favorite characters and got by just fine -- and a story beat in the mid- to endgame split up the party and I had to fight a tough battle with two severly underleveled characters. π¬ Saved myself into a corner too, but I managed it somehow using a bunch of combat items IIRC. π
I started on #FinalFantasyVI for #VGCJune2025.
Starting early is my only chance at actually finishing this game in time. π
I played for about an ingame hour and wasted a whole bunch of time running around Figaro, trying to trigger the flag that would advance the story. π©
The actual opening is epic and exciting, but running around Figaro, especially the fact that you can leave alone with Terra to be slaughtered by scorpions in the desert... not so great. π
Let's see what happens next in South Figaro.
I've caught up with the DLCs for #TheRiseOfTheGoldenIdol now. Especially the second one has a puzzle where you have to incrementally decipher a plethora of cryptic symbols. Not gonna lie, I was pretty proud of myself when I figured it out.
Next, I'll start early on #FinalFantasyVI for #VGCJune2025. I'm planning to emulate the SNES version. Is that a good idea or is there a better "must play" version?
I'm going for the SNES release, because I can easily run that on my PS Vita -- meaning I can put the Vita to sleep whenever I want and I can play on the couch instead of using my laptop. π
