In case you haven't heard yet of Ruby this is the site where you can read about it, and if you run a POSIX Operating System like Linux chances are that you have Ruby already installed

ruby-lang.org/en/

The image shows a screenshot of a mobile web page for the Ruby programming language website. The page has a dark blue header with a red Ruby logo and the text "Ruby" in white, followed by "A PROGRAMMER'S BEST FRIEND" in smaller white letters. Below the header, there's a menu icon (three horizontal lines) and the text "Home".

A large text block reads: "Ruby is… A dynamic, open source programming language with a focus on simplicity and productivity. It has an elegant syntax that is natural to read and write." Below this text are links that say "Download Ruby" and "Read More…".

Further down, a code snippet is shown, styled as a comment block with "#" prefixes: "# The famous Hello World", "# Program is trivial in", "# Ruby: Superfluous:", "# A “main” method", "# Newline", "# Semicolons", "# Here is the Code:". Finally, the line "puts "Hello World!" is displayed.

At the bottom of the screen, there’s a navigation bar with a home icon and the URL “ruby.lang.org/en”, accompanied by a number “31” and three dots icon. The top of the screen shows the time as 23:41 and other status icons, as well as a 78% battery indicator.

TIL about the existence of gem.coop

If you do any programming in Ruby {on rails} the name will make perfect sense to you

gem.coop/

This is a screenshot of a mobile phone display showing a text-based announcement about a new Ruby gem server called gem.coop. The text is presented in a simple, white-on-dark background format. It begins with the headline "gem.coop" and introduces it as a new server for gems in the Ruby ecosystem. The announcement details that it's built for fast, simple hosting, compatible with Bundler, and optimized for the next generation, and created by the former maintainers and operators of RubyGems.org. Further down, it states “Governance for this this project is modeled on Homebrew, with setup assistance from Mike McQuaid”. The screen also displays a footer with a home icon, a checked circle icon, and “gem.coop” along with a notification bubble indicating 31 unread notifications.
