I think I did pretty well today.

Handled my tasks as best as they could.

Watched some good TV, played a good game.

Fixed my garbage disposal on my own.

Cold brew coffee is coming out good.

Ordered some more super-stay lipstick, it works really well, it's the low-maint stuff I need rn.

It was a good day.

Gonna try and enumerate Good Things more often, I let bad stuff have too much Space in my brain.

I finally got a reasonable night’s sleep

For the past few nights, I have had just enough sleep to survive but little more than that. It had left me tired, lethargic, and unproductive. This morning I woke up after 10 hours of kip feeling a whole lot better.

I’m calling this a win

Yesterday, I put on clothes that were ordered a size smaller than my other clothes. They fit me nicely.

Today, I weighed myself. I was a pound and a bit lighter than 45 days ago. That is still a win in my book.

Today was a good day - I like good days. No stress, everything going as it should, all jobs planned are done.
I did my exercise class, I got my groceries & I spent enough time out in the garden to get what I really wanted to do - done. I could have done a bit more probably, but now I err on the side of caution with my back, not fun to aggravate it. So today I was good 😁.
My bonus today was a phone call from a very old friend in NZ, we talked for an hour & laughed a lot. She will be here for a week in late July, early August, hopefully here for my 73rd day of birth, maybe!
Dinner is getting sorted, my mixed up dinner is a little leftover minestrone soup to which I’ve added a little leftover chicken 🍗 . I’m roasting some onion 🧅 & sweet potato 🍠 in fat I reserved from cooking the chook & omg it smells yum. Broccoli 🥦 for my greens, gotta have my greens 😄.
This old girl is a happy little Vegemite.

Interesting day today, actually interesting from yesterday afternoon. When I came home yesterday my neighbour with the smoke filled back garden was on his porch & in the spur of the moment I decided I had to say something. I immediately started to shake, not just because I hate confrontation but this man worries me because you never know the reaction you’ll get.
Anyway, I spoke to him about the smoke, about having to re-wash all my laundry & the stink through the house. He did actually apologise for it & told me it wouldn’t be done in that spot anymore he’d do it in the main garden. I asked if he knew he needed permission from the council & there was a big fine for not getting it. Apology went out the window & he sneered & started arguing, so I walked into my place. Ten minutes later he’s ringing my doorbell apologising again, he’d gone & checked. He didn’t realise & it wouldn’t happen again.
Today, he’s pressure hose cleaning out the back of his place - guess where all the mess ended up. Yep, through the little gap under the fence & into my little back area 🤪. After it dried, I used my leaf blower & sent it back 😇. I know - tit for tat - but seriously! #BadNeighbour
My life is never dull 😂.
On a better note, I heard from all my family for Mothers Day & even had visitors. I now have a pretty pink Cyclamen, a small bar of pink soap in the shape of a flower courtesy of my granddaughter & the schools Mother’s Day stall. #GoodDay #MothersDay

Walking around the river this morning I spied this itty bitty spider crossing my path, at least I think it’s a spider. I have seen them occasionally before but they move pretty fast. I think the only reason I see them is the intense red abdomen.
A friend rang not long into the walk asking if I would give her a ride to pick up her car which was in for service & once I finished the walk I picked her up & off we went. After that was done, I went back to her place & we had a lovely catch up chat as we haven’t seen each other in a while. It was past lunchtime before I got home & I haven’t done very much since 😁.

Excellent day. Set up my wall schedule and feeling back in control. Had an early lunch with M and A and loved it. They're such a fun couple. Oiled hair when I got back, washed litter boxes, washed 2 loads of laundry, and going to clean CR1 before showering and visiting parents to drop off their meds. #goodday

My students are awesome.. On Monday, I had a lab with my Dual Enrollment students and they are amazing. I am so impressed with them all. I think they had fun with the lab as well.

Then yesterday, I had the final exam for my Bio 101 class. Those students rocked that exam. I am so happy. One student wrote an adorable thank you drawing on the exam, and another asked if she could volunteer in the lab over the summer.

My heart is happy.

#Sunset 29/4/25 Managed to be close enough to the right place, at close enough to the right time.
Really nice day. Sunny with low humidity. It got up to around 27c ( 82f) and was breezy enough to be comfortable.
