On plant based meat.

For those of us that eat meat, there's really nothing like a good hamburger with an 80/20 ground beef patty and a great brioche bun. A good grind of beef and a good bun are really all that's needed to make a satisfying hamburger. The extra ingredients are enjoyable, incidental, and not always needed, at least in my opinion.

Today I had an Impossible burger. Something that I have periodically. And, I enjoyed it. It has a good flavor, nice mouth feel, and is satisfying.

But I don't think that it should be measured against a beef-based burger. Similarly, a beef-based burger should not be compared with a patty made from pork, turkey, or chicken. They are all a different sandwich.

So, we should embrace that there are good meat alternates available that have numerous benefits when compared to meat, even, as in my case, when the alternate is only periodic.

I don’t know about other #vegetarian folks, but I love #impossibleburger on the grill. Finally something substantial that stands up to grilling.

I noticed that any time I have something with methylcellulose, regardless of brand, I get the same results. Something I hope they fix.

Oh, my word! I bought the amazing burger or impossible burger, or whatever it's called - fully vegan, fully entirely plant based burger patty ready to grill. And I grilled it. And I put it in a burger bun, and I ate it. And now I am a believer in the impossible burger. HOW IS IT THAT GOOD?! Even my cats came sniffing!

@beckalina I've only had Beyond Meat a few times, and neither of them tasted very good.

That said, #ImpossibleBurger was completely indistinguishable, and really tasty. I hope the EU will start allowing them to sell here soon!
