I want to share this #KofiShop from a fellow member of the #IndieSellersGuild, because he's recently started selling these door hangers requesting (or demanding, if you like) that no one enter the room before putting on a mask. (He's said that you can message him about getting them for less if money is tight.)

It was originally made for medical appointments at lax facilities, but you can really use it anywhere.

Also, Fuck #Mailchimp for adding a “feature“ that lets you design a fancy email and then after hours of work tells you they won’t let you send it unless you upgrade to use that fancy layout

I had to copy all the content into a downgraded less fancy DIY layout to redo the whole email

And the DIY free version looks exactly the same as the $30 a month (!) they wanted to bait and switch me into purchasing …

Not to blow our horn too soon, but the folks at the Etsy strike, (you may recall from a while ago*) just had about 30 people help pull a bill through a committee in the US Congress

It hasn’t passed yet, but it may end up influencing e-commerce

And that was 30 people 🤯

Hey all, I'd just like to share this article from the #IndieSellersGuild about a new bill that just passed in the US, the #COOLOnlineAct. It's extremely relevant to any #artisans on here who sell or intend to sell their #handmade #crafts and wares, especially if you've been affected by #Etsy 's rampant dishonest reseller problem.

"Brian Conlan – Deputy Legislative Director from the office of Senator Tammy Baldwin – reached out to us to ask if we would support a new bill – the COOL Online Act. The bill requires products posted online from sellers in the US to display which country they were made in, much like products in US stores display the same “made in” labeling. In other words, a legal requirement for resellers to admit that their products are mass-produced overseas!"
