thank you for your service #jetbrains, but after years of daily use i've almost entirely switched to #vscode for all of my work.
your refactory tools are still unmatched, but you've become too big & slow to be usable (i'm looking particularly at you, #rider)

JetBrains IDEA and Windows WLS is a combination from hell. Either it does not work at all or it dies at least once a day.

Why does IDEA suggest "native" mode all the time - this does not work at all. Tried 100 variations.

Всем привет! Сегодня я расскажу, как мы переводили наши Java-команды на новые рельсы. Проблема: В прошлом год стало ясно, что покупать лицензии Intellij IDEA проблематично. Предложения с ресурсов вроде «Авито»выглядели сомнительно и небезопасно. И российский рынок разработки очень плотно занялся переездом на свои решения, заказчики требовали использовать сертифицированное по местным реалиям ПО и все такое прочее. О переезде на новую среду не говорил разве что кто-то совсем уж ленивый. С чего мы начали: Изучив заново рынок, мы (я и другие лиды, которым на плечи легла эта ноша) стали анализировать доступные решения. Пишем мы чаще всего, используя Spring Framework и технологии около него, хотя иногда и вынуждены адаптироваться к конкретным пожеланиям заказчика и рекомендуемым им технологиям. Но фокус-группа акцентировала внимание вокруг Spring.

#Jetbrains Updates laufen. Schade eigentlich, dass es von @jetbrains keine Kombi-IDE gibt, in der ich meine genutzten Programmiersprachen kombinieren kann. Das würde mir viel Ressourcen auf meinen älteren Rechnern sparen. Auch zieht sich ein Update jedesmal bei 4 oder 5 installierten Programmen, die in großen Teilen eigentlich gleich sind.

I want to develop software on the go. In the metro, bus, cars. I'm looking at a lot of alternatives like having a mini #Linux #handheldPC, a setup with a computer in my bag with a keyboard and #AR glasses, using my phone to code on #githubworkspaces. I'm already keyboard first so I could potentially work on #nvim in a terminal but I also love #jetbrains IDE and I'm fine with #VScode. I would like feedback from other devs that achieved that goal. I want to know what setup you have and how comfortable it is. My ultimate setup might be that AR glasses one maybe, the github workspaces are unusable on my small phone. The handheld PC looks nice for how easy it would be to start but looks uncomfortable. IDK. I've been thinking about it for a while.

Agent と Client（IDE とかコードエディター）の間のやり取りを標準化するっていうこの動きがあるということは、逆に言えば VSCode の Copilot とか使ってるときはそれは VSCode にロックインされた体験だったってことだな。
まあ言われればそりゃそうかという感じだけど、たしかにエディターを選択するうえでそこが標準化できると乗り換えも簡単になるしユーザーにとって選択肢が増えるよい未来に向かっていけそう
