Ein Grund mehr, für Verantwortliche in der Wirtschaft usw... auf Linux umzustellen und dort die von US-Konzernen unabhängige Entwicklung finanziell zu fördern. #Diversität schützt m.E. vor solchen #killswitches und wenn man seine Personalverwaltung etc... im Blick auf Betriebssysteme und Software eben divers aufgestellt hat etc... ist auch ein größerer Konzern im DAX nicht mehr so abhängig von Microsoft und Co.
Die Bundeswehr ist m.W. dabei, umzustellen, ebenso Schleswig Holstein... Vielleicht schaffen wir es ja, dass solche Beispiele Schule machen?

This was the original design… but we're now considering the possibility of one more switch: 4️⃣ , a slider integrated into the camera’s shutter button, to separate cameras and microphone. What do you think about it?

I have my suspend set to 2 minutes and I also make use off the hardware #killswitches to not only shut the stupid outside world, but also conserve additional battery!

For me it only really gets warm (> 40^C either when watching videos (especially on youtube - maybe invidious would be lighter?) or recording videos.

Some bits for hardware accelerated encode/decode missing perhaps? Dunno, this is probably complex on #Linux.

3 hardware kill switches for Librem 5 Linux smartphone.

These three physical switches would disable cameras/microphone, WiFi/Bluetooth, and the cellular baseband on this upcoming privacy-minded smartphone from Purism.

When all three hardware kill switches are activated, it also triggers a "lockdown" mode. The lockdown mode will also disable various sensors on the device.
