@miyuru The #linuxfromscratch list changes from time to time, so just writing a 5 line bash script and putting it into a cronjob seems much easier.

Still not possible today. Just tested...

#Windows 11 auf dem Gaming-PC installieren. Wie schwer kann das schon sein? Ich hab Informatik studiert, jahrelang #ArchLinux genutzt und auch #LinuxFromScratch installiert.

Mission: Impossible. Eine ISO auf USB-Stick kopiert führt zu Treiberproblemen. Und das Media Creation Tollkit läuft nur unter Windows.

Schon dämlich, wenn die Installation von Windows Windows voraussetzt.

i'm thinking that a project called something like "LFS Redux" might be beneficial to the community. the idea would be to provide a live cd or virtual machine that someone can boot up, along with a guided tour of the system. cuz with LFS you spend a lot of time compiling stuff, just watching paint dry, and I don't think that part of it is very edifying.

it doesn't look like i'm going to finish my Linux From Scratch project this weekend, but I've made decent progress. right now i'm on section 8.29 of LFS 12.2-systemd, which is compiling gcc for the third time. that's not including the fact that i made an early mistake and had to start over...

Hey #linux community, I ask of you all yet again. I wanna know some fun, chaotic, weird, random Linux distros.

For now I've got #nixos, #vanillaos, #funtoo, #mxlinux, #qubes, #antix, & #puppylinux on a quick Google search.

It's been almost 2 years since I touched NixOS so might as well play around with it again.

I'll start googling up some more & I'm also gonna be looking on #distrowatch later but I gotta go eat my midnight snacks, lol.

Again, no #linuxfromscratch / #lfs. That's for laters!

#Alpine has a massive community behind it thanks to its usage in #Docker and other #container based projects. That would be my go to.

Hey #linux community, I wanna play around with more distros and stuff. Particularly ones that isn't #systemd but might use #busybox. Right now I have #voidlinux & #devuan in my head.

I mean I could just go to #distrowatch & use filters but I like hearing people's personal experience about these distros and I'll admit I'm really lazy browsing forums and discussions right now. 😅

I've already tried #gentoo, #alpine, and #slackware. Also no #linuxfromscratch #lfs. That's for waay later taters.
