Aaaaaalso. Ich habe mal einen Wechsel von #Zorin 17.1 nach #CachyOS gemacht. Ich dachte das wird sicherlich ein flottes modernes #Linux sein, nachdem das bei #distrowatch ganz oben bei den geladenen Systemen war/ist. ich wurde enttäuscht. Es muss dermaßen viel händisch(Terminal) angepasst werden, dass ich sehr genervt war. Das Finale war für mich die Installation der Ausweis App mit Anschluss eines CardReaders und die Installation eines simplen Druckers. Ich hab heute #Zorin 18 installiert hab in Windeseile meine Umgebung konfiguriert und bin jetzt einfach nur entspannt.

Testando o CachyOS aqui. Nunca tinha ouvido falar desta distro antes, mas estava precisando de uma rolling release para ter acesso sempre às versões mais atuais do #qutebrowser e esta me chamou a atenção por ser top 1 do #DistroWatch . É baseada no Arch Linux.

As primeiras impressões foram boas. Durante a instalação, escolhi o #i3wm no lugar de um Desktop Environment e achei a performance excelente. Lembrando que: 1) É uma máquina com 13 anos de idade; 2) Usando um HD e não SSD; 3) Partição btrfs (sugerida na instalação).

Jogos: Coloquei para testar o Sonic & All Star Racing Transformed e rodou perfeitamente. Vou instalar o Forza Horizon 4 que é bem mais pesado para ver como fica.

Agora um detalhe importante, para quem for de i3wm, ele vem "pelado", nem ícone de rede tem: a cabeada conecta automaticamente; já a wi-fi requer um comandinho do tipo: "nmcli device wifi connect Nome da Rede --ask" e então pede a senha.
