I wanted to maintain #AppStream metadata for #BitRitter so i could use it for #LinuxPhoneApps and #FlatPak packaging. But it is so overwhelming at first when you are not familiar with is.
I wish there was like a guided activity for it like an install wizard back in the days.

@Dimension@fosstodon.org, you seem not to follow the development very closely. If you want to stay tuned I'd suggest you follow @linmob@fosstodon.org who assembles regularly a nice overview over what happens inside the mobile eco system.

The battery life became a lot better. I'm using a Librem5 since early 2022. I charge it during night and use it during day. In case I could be running out of power I keep a second battery around.

The development of #PureOS #Crimson got stuck somewhat lately, but it's already deployed on the #Librem11 and it already works somewhat on the Librem5.

If you look for hardware less open, secure and privacy respecting with improved battery runtime you should look at the #postmarketOS pages for a device.

The #Pinephone of my son regularly gets updates from postmarketOS.

Look at #LinuxPhoneApps https://linuxphoneapps.org/ to find native software. I lost track following all the latest additions.

Due to the holidays and related social obligations the Weekly #MobileLinux Update will be delayed. I am just too drunk.. Cheers!
It should be out tomorrow - unless I am severly held up by #LinuxPhoneApps chores.

@killed2 Thank you for the reply!
In the past I used MuPDF viewer, but it changes font sizes and pages when returning to an Epub book.
For now I will use Eboox on Android.
Later I would see Foliate on a laptop, I think.

On Pinephone, I hope the delay is less than a turning a page of a physical book.
I still think are great, even if it'd be better to have more hardware power.
I might look into how images can be cropped precisely on Linux phones.

@dreirik Mit Distributionen wie #postmarketos kann ich nicht nur mein Smartphone länger nutzen, sondern es auch als Desktop oder Laptop verwenden. #LinuxPhoneApps

Whats holding back on mobile phones at the moment is the lack of apps. But there's more coming every day. Let's hope development continues to flourish.

@linmob #linuxphoneapps indeed. loving the new site! looking through the issue tracker, it looks like the categories need cleaning up, and i'm still trying to think of a less subjective way to do this. Anjan's talk was great to watch live, and i'll be glad to re-watch it now that it's available. i even got a few of my questions answered! i laughed so hard at the #pinebuds, i need those unicorn-shaped pine64 products in my life /j. another fantastic roundup, thanks peter!
