We must stand against the criminalization and punishment of our unhoused neighbors! MAAP and MBF are convening people for political education, script building on how to talk about these issues, and mobilizing towards action the rest of the spring into the summer! For many years we have been consistently demanding that the City of Boston and Wu's administration immediately end enacting costly and ineffective policies that target people surviving outside and using drugs. We need direct investment in real, evidence-based solutions like permanent low-threshold housing, mental health care, and harm reduction programs that treat the root causes of poverty with dignity and care. We have the power to make our city an example of what it would look like to resource people instead of putting them in jail for not having resources!
