Anyone I have ever discussed this with has found them creepy, pushy, and off-putting. They've all said it makes them *less* likely to buy from that merchant in future.

He describes his work as a vocation given to him by God, as his life’s “destination”.

So with my recent #disastrous experience with #Uber #Eats, it looks like I have to file a #chargeback with my credit card company to get my refund. If you missed the previous episode of Support Disasters: purchase through website, but refunds only through the app, which I can't use, because I don't have a cell phone.

I thought you used to be able to dispute a merchant charge on the phone, but I don't seem to have that option today. I have to submit a dispute by postal mail - or by fax 🤣 .

I'm guessing the procedure for "submit a dispute by fax" goes like this:

1. Time-travel back to 1994 when fax was relevant.
2. Submit form by fax.

Merchantowi trzeba przyznać, że „Krew w maszynie” czyta się nieźle i że bardzo zgrabnie przeprowadził analogię pomiędzy początkiem XIX i XXI w. Dzięki książce Czubkowskiej miałem pewien wgląd w sytuację. Na pewno większy, niż gdybym bazował wyłącznie na śmieciowym contencie z mass mediów.
