radium is not free. which is what stopped me the most. there were two apps that could be used online only. doesn't appeal to me. i have used or looked over most of the others. zrhythm requires a better computer than what i have at the moment. #musictracker #modularmusic

i've tried psycle a while ago. but the interface is an impressive mess. i kind of understand what they are trying to do. try to modernize the program. since it will soon be 64-bit only. but will it support clap or vst3? that's what most users would be interested in. i have been disillusioned priority was put into "sampulse". "i only care about loading my xm file into a tracker other than milkytracker or openmpt." would be the main reason why. this program was great in 2012. even with the annoying bugs. i would still use it. only if i still had a computer that could run win7 32-bit. the old release from 2014. i got it running on linux with wine. after fetching some "mfc" library. #musictracker #modularmusic #psycle

Typically I'll modulate the phase of the sine along with shoving it through one or more distortions/waveshapers. I probably used the Terci Ruina, but I honestly don't remember. As for the filter, I think (but again, don't actually remember; I need to take better notes) it was the #WMDevices #C4RBN but it could have been the Wasp -- those are where'd I'd reach for acid, generally speaking.

Also, if you're doing #ModularMusic, remember to always record at least TWO performances of it before you take it apart. I loved my first performance of this patch but I decided to go ahead and do a second, just as Best Practices, and holy shit was the second one better. Might carve up the first a bit and incorporate it's best moments in the album release, but take No. 2 is definitely where it's at.
