another morning before work, another sunrise in Chicago, and some very cozy socks!

yet another Supermicro motherboard, for another xeon ice lake generation cpu (8370C liberated from Azure cloud, not ES or QA grade), with temporary holding pattern of Optane NVDIMMs (only 4, the 5th will be removed)... quantity of GPUs still in consideration but many many.

difficult to get a decent photo without a mirror, and too little time for being photogenic, but the sweater is soooo soft and I think I like it enough to obtain additional colors.

in keeping with the redness, here's a AMD FirePro S7150 datacenter GPU, will be using it for FreeBSD virtualization passthrough to mess with blah blah blah technical things, and it's going into an EPYC dev box in my office.

I was too early for work so decided to stop by at the nearby beach.
