I recall an article two(?) years back about #Auckland Transport considering and then scrapping improvements to ventilation and air filtration on their buses, as not being worth the cost.

Dr. Kindrachuk’s opinion was that #NPIs are “extremely effective in reducing the spread of #SARSCoV2 in a population, especially when used in combination, and are indeed necessary to limit exponential spread”.
“So, I actually think that it’s very easy to look at our own lived experience in those two waves and see very clearly the impact that non-pharmaceutical interventions had, and I think we can also compare our own experience to neighbouring jurisdictions to be able to see the outcomes that were different based on when #NPIs were introduced and to what degree.”
I just want to say a huge thank you to the folks who make the series 9-1-1 for having multiple episodes that don't simply handwave the pandemic as something that happened offscreen, but actively demonstrate characters using masks, the challenges of navigating changing pandemic protocols, etc.
As an #ActuallyDisabled person on #chemo, this was heartening to discover!

I don't know what else to do other than keep warning the #pandemic isn't over and what's happening is genocide on a global scale simultaneously.
Not using at least #NPIs to mitigate against covid, spreading it, mocking/attacking, vulnerable ppl, writing off or minimizing illness & death bc ppl are old/disabled/vulnerable (news flash age & health won't save you from #COVID & #longCovid), standing by while public health & policy continue to be gutted & or eugenicist -- that's fash shit, period.
