The hard problem is often illustrated by appealing to the logical possibility of inverted visible spectra. If there is no logical contradiction in supposing that one’s colour vision could be inverted, it follows that mechanistic explanations of visual processing do not determine facts about what it is like to see colours. The most important thing is to awaken the heart, and then rest in spacious ease. Interestingly, when we directly experience the truth of non-self we experience unbridled joy and bliss, which is nondual with love and compassion. Non-self is a wonderful, blissful thing and not the existential drama we might expect. Non-self is love. Non-self is devotion. Given this, I will repeat: Dzogchen is love and devotion. Love and devotion are Dzogchen.

Enjoying some listening to some exploration of #Buddhist #philosophy of #self and #nonself at youtu.be/gSZjKKuvHEQ .
It's part of my quest for an antidote to suffering due to mortality, loss and gain, the inherent unsatisfactory nature of all things, etc. Meaning, if there's no such thing as "I" as we're led to believe, then I think there's hope for a more satisfactory understanding of how things really are, and what underpins all phenomena including my little lifetime..

"What Aristotle called the 'thinking psyche' is in a nutshell 'logos' as reason and corresponds to the 'self' as the subject that logically distinguishes self from non-self in the immune system of living organism. ❲...❳ The subject that understands the mechanism of intervention by microbes and voluntarily takes sufficient breathing is logos, and in more detailed recognition, logos and breathing cannot be thought of separately. Logos is the passway for the faint wind that human find for themself in order to live, and its invisible figure is exactly the 'thinking psyche' as bleathing."
