- #OTPClient doesn't copy paste the code
- #numberstation doesn't work at all
- I cannot save an account with #Clockode
- #Keyring beautiful but not work

Any recommendation to manage #OTP code??

For Linux I'm using OTPClient.

The nice thing: You can import/export Aegis compatible data with OTPClient (including password protection).

Ich verwende für #2FA folgende Kombination und kann beides empfehlen:

• auf Linux: #OTPClient
• auf Android: #AegisAuthenticator

Da kann man die Daten von einem zum anderen sogar importieren/exportieren. Da ändert sich ja nicht sooo häufig was wie bei Passworten, aber jeden einzeln per OCR-Code einlesen ist mühsamer, wenn man mehr als 10 hat (OCR Import/Export geht aber auch).

Extra Passwortschutz (für App und die Datei) kann man zusätzlich einstellen.

Ich persönlich nutze sowieso lieber #foss #otp #apps wie #GNOMEAuthenticator #FreeOTP #FreeOTPplus #andOTP #Aegis #AuthenticatorPro #OTPClient #KDEKeysmith

Gut zu wissen: Diese Codes kann man bei vielen Apps auf per QR-Code "exportieren" und auf einem zweiten Gerät einscannen (Aegis und Google Authenticator können das z.B.)

Es gibt für #Zweifaktorauthentifizierung auch Apps für "richtige" Computer, auf Linux verwende ich #OTPClient.
Das Programm kann #Aegis-Dateien importieren und exportieren.
Für Geeks gibt es neben der grafischen Oberfläche auch eine Kommandozeile. (https://github.com/paolostivanin/OTPClient/wiki).

Unfortunately my beloved AndOTP is no longer maintained. I used it almost daily in the past years.

Now I tried some other #foss solutions and found Aegis Authenticator https://getaegis.app/ as a good alternative with code on Github and an active project.

It looks good after configuring compact mode, includes some features like import of a bunch of other OTP-dbs (like AndOTP), auto-backup (to my Nextcloud), show code on tap and more. #otp #otpclient
