¾ oz lime juice
¾ oz passion fruit syrup
¼ oz coconut cream
½ oz absinthe
1 oz Blended Lightly Aged Rum ❷
1 oz Blended Aged Rum ❸
Float of overproof Pot Still Unaged Rum

Garnish: mint sprig, lime wheel
Method: Combine all ingredients except rum for the float in a shaker with crushed ice and shake. Open pour into glass, top with ice, float the rum, and garnish.

A lovely potion that can please everyone on the tiki spectrum: tame enough for a beginner, but still has enough in there to interest a veteran. Original by theweekendmixologist on IG.

I've come across a series of "humorous" #ColonialAdverts for the anisette "Phénix" produced in Algiers, published in "Le Petit Marocain" in the 1950s, which played with the idea of "Phénix" being of a better quality than other comparable drinks.
