Yuka is not working anymore on my Android device. Looking at the logs it seems like they are using the Firebase App Check with Play Integrity.
My device passes the Basic level of Play Integrity though. Really sad.

@GrapheneOS I just installed Revolut app version 10.76.1 on my Pixel 9a with GOS and had no problems with play integrity, whether they removed the check silently?

Support tells me, that they do not support "rooted devices" (mine is not even rooted). Other reviews note that even locking the bootloader is not working.

With the new release of GrapheneOS, they added a feature to block an app from using the Play Integrity API (There will also be notification when an app tries to use the API).
Apparently two apps that I couldn’t get working (Namely SCB Easy and TrueMoney) are using the Play Integrity API. Blocking it unfortunately doesn’t make it work.

Man kann sie entweder gar nicht nutzen, oder über sie die EPA nicht löschen lassen
In 2024, I might have thwarted (or pushed back to another year) an effort to lock down a banking app using misplaced attestations.
Last January, the banking app started showing warnings that it might not work on my device, running GrapheneOS, because "it could not verify its integrity", and that soon it would not work anymore. Note that I use GrapheneOS without root, and with re-locked bootloader.
So I complained. I sent a message to support, which was left without answer, then an official complaint, which they have a month to answer by law (they never did); after 6 weeks, I filed another complaint about them not answering. A few weeks later, an app update shipped that no longer showed the warning. It has been like this throughout 2024, and I almost forgot.
I discover as I write those lines, that of course many other GrapheneOS users did find this issue, and complained as well. Some even had answers! And I did not coordinate with any of them (maybe I should have?).
My point is that if a company (or bank) wants to screw you over, it will. But in some cases, it might not, and will listen. Don't stay silent, and speak up, it might even work!
Nein gibt es nicht. In diesem Fall #Jelbi geht nur über App, die #Miles App (die genauso Daten möchte) geht auf meinem sicheren #GrapheneOS Handy gar nicht, weil sie keine Ahnung haben und #Google #PlayIntegrity benutzen.
Jelbi IST die Alternative zu Miles, wenn man extrem billig und einfach Transporter mieten möchte. Es gibt Alternativen, zB. "0815 Transporter" und andere stationäre kleine Anbieter. Beim Wohnung finden ist das schon sehr viel schwerer.
Nutzt ihr die TK-App zusammen mit einem Custom-ROM wie #GrapheneOS, solltet ihr die Techniker kontaktieren und Beschwerde einreichen. Die App funktioniert aufgrund der Play Integrity API nicht mehr. Weitere Hintergründe dazu unten. 👇

Play Integrity ist kein Sicherheitscheck. Es überprüft lediglich, ob das egal wie veraltete #Android System von #Google erlaubt ist. Das heißt, es muss alle #proprietär.en Google #Apps als Systemapps installieren und somit Google vollen Zugriff aufs #Smartphone geben.
Das hat nichts mit #Sicherheit zu tun.
Revolut recently started blocking root on Android more rigorously, other apps work, like McD, but Revolut doesn't. I use Magisk 28, Shamiko, I pass Play Integrity on Basic and Device level, I've seen on reddit people saying that KSU/apatch work, but I don't really want to tinker that much to yeet Magisk altogether, anyone found another way with Magisk staying?

Nicht vergessen: Apps die #Google #PlayIntegrity verwenden, laufen auf veralteten Geräten ohne #Sicherheitsupdates.
Tatsächlich sind eigentlich alle #Android Handys die nicht #Pixel (oder mit etwas Abstand #Samsung) sind, unsicher.
#GrapheneOS ist sicherer als Google Android. Sie verfollständigen das Android-Sicherheitsmodell, indem Play Services und Store isoliert laufen usw.
GrapheneOS ist besseres Android.
Noch verwendet die TK App kein PlayIntegrity, hoffen wir, dass es so bleibt.
