The only time I miss having X/Twitter for yelling at vendors. In this week's case, #FedEx in the US is being completely unresponsive for an order from #Prusa3D that is stuck in US Customs.
One nozzle replacement and cooling assembly upgrade later, and my 4y old Prusa Mk3S+ is back to printing at excellent quality.
The new cooling assembly provides a higher flow rate while focusing the air onto the extruded filament a lot better than the old one. And I replaced the worn 2yo .4mm nozzle with a new .6mm one. 10/10 worth it.

When browsing through the thousands of new uploads on #Printables, I really wonder if it’s still worth putting effort into free quality content. Without a big channel or ad reach, even great models can get buried. And with “Trending” mostly surfacing what’s already popular, new creators barely get a chance. Feels like the app store dilemma all over again. #Printables #Prusa3D
Tried to help folks find my “painters pyramid” model on Printables, as it didn’t show up in search—despite the keywords being in the summary and tags. Only after adding it to the title did it appear 🤷♂️
Feels like keyword-stuffing titles is the only way to be found. That’s not ideal.
Anyone else seen this?
I've created a trash bag holder I called iTrash. It is made for Euroboxes for camper vans, but also works in the household.
You can find it here:

As GLEW is unmaintained, uses GLX by default and the EGL part is unfinished, the best would be if projects would migrate to GLAD.
I've migrated PrusaSlicer to GLAD today.
https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/pull/14440
PrusaSlicer already used GLAD, the question is why it used GLEW then?
I understand why Prusa is so late delivering the camera for the Core One. When I finally received it, the plastic is scratched, there are no magnets in it so I can’t mount it, and it doesn’t work to connect it to the printer. They should have just waited a while longer to get things working.
Finally, the 6.3.1 Firmware for Prusa CORE One is out fixing the pause/resume bug!

Just started my first print using the #Prusa3D #EasyPrint cloud slicing thingy and it was actually... fine. Just a simple enclosure for an ESP32, didn't need any fancy settings or modifications and it was quick and clean. It probably won't be my "daily slicer" but I can definitely see how it can be helpful in some situations (and I will probably continue to use it in situations where I just need to print something quickly from #Printables). #3dprinting
My X-axis motor from my Prusa Core One was damaged. I needed to replace it and created a tool to assemble the pulley on the axes correctly. Also it describes the process. Tool can be found here: https://www.printables.com/model/1236389-core-one-x-axisy-axis-motor-pulley-helper-tool
It's not a great picture, but you can see the issue I'm having with curling. The corners curl like crazy on any print that takes up a large portion of the print bed, and it seems like bed adhesion in the corners is low, even with brims and supports.
Does this mean my heat bed doesn't heat evenly? Excessive cooling on the corners? Not enough cooling?
By printing small and in the center I can get reliable prints but this is driving me nuts. #3dprinting #prusa3d

PrusaSlicer has support to store credentials in the system's secret storage. However this was not fully implemented. For example the API key for Prusalink was still stored in plain text in the config file. I've completed the secret storage support in PrusaSlicer now.
My Prusa CORE One arrived and just started the first print!
The cabinet base is self-made based on an idea from Sven (Makerhome).
From CAD to test printing multiple versions to final print last night.

Ended a week of evenings of me and mrs. T working on PrintDOG. It started as a Prusa i3 Mk3, studied hard and became an S, more studying and it was a + for a while.
It was working well but a few parts were wearing out. I was considering replacing it with a Bambu P1S Core-type printer - then Bambu went and did their 'thing' that made me really appreciate the open nature of the Prusa platforms.
And since I'd originally built PrintDOG as a kit, I was kinda familiar with what went where -- I ordered an updgrade kit and now PrintDog is a Prusa MK4S.
And working amazingly well.
I'm also rebuilding some vintage bookshelf speakers. The paper gaskets were not recoverable so I modelled and printed replacements.
Good PrintDOG!
Oh, shoutout to @MaryPot for the heads-up on the Bambu thing... it's kinda scary.

Took some time this weekend to tune up my 3D printer and print up these "Dummy 13" posable figurines. They came out great! I have a feeling my office is going to end up full of figurines cavorting around...
When the #3DPrinter is operating really well and printed 25 parts with very little error and issue.
That’s when you decide to take #Prusa3D #Upgrade parts out and start dismantling and upgrading.
