Finished #reading James. Percival Everett brilliantly retells the Mark Twain classic Huckleberry Finn from Jim's experience and perspective. He mocks #racists and the empty tropes slavers and their enablers hold onto to dehumanize, objectify, and abuse Black people for their own profit and self-interest. It shines a light on the deep rooted #racism that exists in the #UnitedStates then and now. It is worthy of the many awards it has received IMHO.
