The mist spun, shifting from murky white to dull brown. Tendrils coalesced, forming a tabletop. Tam's nose twitched as the smell of burning wood crossed it.
"Place him there," the voice boomed.
Tam pressed the table to test its solidity, then lowered the body, shaking his head. He hated magic. #SiP

Now that I've leapt over to #MacOSXSequoia on entirely new hardware, the only part of this offering from #Apple that is somewhat craptastic is the janky iPhone Mirroring bit. Connection is a crap-shoot, reboot the phone, lock it, unlock it, sleep the screen, wake it up, shake the runes, aaaaaand maybe, if the stars are right, it will work. LOL. It's really the biggest craptastic thing I've run into yet, beyond the awfulness of #SIP, of course. A polished turd floating in Waterford Crystal.

#Apple created #SIP in #MacOSXSequoia and it’s harmfully aggressive. I have jpg files I want to import into #PhotosApp. Sometimes I get an “Unknown error” on import. I’ve discovered that SIP prevents some extended attributes from being removed, even as root. Anytime you attempt edit with xattr, SIP instantly undoes your edit. So I created a FAT formatted disk image, about 200mb. (1/2)

@mconley yeah, I worked on one of those solutions back in my day :-). Even though it does not look like something difficult, it's a pretty complex thing to design. Multiplexing audio and video can be often very resource intensive task not talking about supported/unsupported codecs. Signalization is another story. #SIP being utilized everywhere brings another challenge because every company creates their own standards and ignores/extends existing #RFC .. it's a hell :-)

Is anyone able to lay their hands on a firmware image for a Samsung Ubigate IBG1004?

It’s an #isdn to #sip #telephone gateway, and the one I’ve got seems to be corrupt and won’t decompress.

My usual haunts for firmware images are coming up blank.

The filename will be something like `iBG1004_Advanced_1.6.1.9.Z` - but I'm really not too fussy about the version number!

Всем привет! Это снова Саша Басун — системный администратор «Петрович-Теха». Я пришёл поделиться решением проблемы, которая периодически встречалась мне раньше. Правда, потребность в её решении не была критичной, так как затрагивала минимум пользователей. Другое дело, когда проблема появляется уже у десятка, а то и у сотни пользователей. Здесь без логичного решения уже не обойтись. Так произошло и в этот раз, но давайте по порядку. Все началось с ухода эпохи Skype и с Windows, не видящего корпоративный софтфон.
