While the story is a wee bit more involved than this article would have us believe, the SNP are not covering themselves in glory here pandering to large, rich estates, frequently foreign owned. Grow some balls Swinney.

Charles Kennedy was a Liberal, so his politics differed from mine. Yet I always found him a likeable figure, and he rightly warned his party against going into coalition with the Conservatives, advice which his slick successor Nick Clegg unwisely did not heed.
As a consequence of the Clegg led Liberal support for the Conservatives, Cameron and Osborne were able to push through the austerity measures which have done so much lasting damage to the UK.
In addition, the Conservatives outfoxed their partners on the key issue of electoral reform, so the Liberals effectively got nothing in return for their support of Cameron.
In Kennedy's final election campaign, the SNP distributed this particularly nasty campaign material mocking his alcoholism.

Am starting to think Swinney is Scotland's Starmer. The Galloway National Park being scrapped, Flamingo Land looking like it will go ahead and the criticism of Kneecap. Add to that ministers posting selfies with Israeli government representatives. Grow a spine please.

Swinney, Wishart, Forbes, et al were ALWAYS capitalist market economists with ZERO interest in the environment and social issues.
