The huge spruce went down today 😞 It was still mostly green when we moved here, but got sucked dry by some kind of pest (it seems once it settles in, you can't really do much about it). I feel sad for it, but, ufortunately, it was becoming a safety hazard, being really close to the house.

What would you do with the stump? Mr EntangledPear wants to dig it up, but maybe there could be a decorative/practical use for it? (It's almost a meter in diameter.)
