Thanks to search being dead, does anyone know if it's possible to use a usb power bank as the battery for a 12V mppt controller?

Currently recharging the powerbank for the particulate sensor in the shed every few days. Would be nice to stick up a small panel to keep the whole system more permanently powered. No interest in running mains out to the shed.

Es gibt ein interessantes Projekt zur Erfassung von Luftqualität/Emissionen und Lautstärke. Jede/-r kann mitmachen. Die Messstationen lassen sich fertig kaufen oder man kauft sich die benötigten Einzelteile zusammen und bastelt.

My air sensor is up! I 3D printed a case, which contains an SDS011 and a BME280 attached to a NodeMCU ESP8266. It's registered on https://sensor.community/en/sensors/ (just search for Castricum and pick the one on the right). Very curious to see what it will do, as I live downwind from Tata Steel. It also registers temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure, which I track in Home Assistant.

Impressive (not)!

#PCBway was not able to mount C1 capacitor on the board. So I told them to just send the part separately

Originally I thought the through holes might be too small.

But no, it fits perfectly. After asking it turns out that it was because the number of holes (4 so it can fit different capacitor sizes) did not match the parts pins (2) 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
