‘Wicked: For Good’ star Cynthia Erivo protects Ariana Grande from crasher on Sentosa

Ariana Grande was at Universal Studios Singapore on Sentosa in Singapore on November 13, 2025 with “Wicked: For Good” director Jon M. Chiu. They were walking down the yellow carpet with her co-stars Cynthia Arivo, Michelle Yeoh and Jeff Goldblum when a man named Johnson Wen jumped the barricade and rushed towards Grande.

Johnson Wen

Originally from Australia, Wen is a serial intruder. In his social media accounts, he brags about his activities as a prankster.

On August 4, 2024. Wen delayed the men’s 100m final at the 2024 Summer Olympics at the Stade de France in Paris, France. On June 9, 2025, he stormed the stage while Katy Perry was performing at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia and put his arm around her before he was removed by security.

When Wen tried to put his arm around Grande in a tight hug at Universal Studios Singapore, Erivo quickly put herself between him and Grande. Yeoh also pulled Grande back.

Security guards quickly apprehended Wen and tackled him to the ground. A member of the security tossed the crasher back over the barricade.

Later, Grande, Arivo, Yeoh, Goldblum and Chiu continued with their walk on the yellow carpet. They greeted fans and signed autographs while Wen was escorted out of the venue.

“Wicked: For Good”

Joining Grande, Erivo, Yeoh and Goldblum in the “Wicked: For Good” cast are Adam James, Alice Fearn, Bowen Yang, Bronwyn James, Ethan Slater, Jonathan Bailey, Keala Settle and Marissa Bode. The film also features the voices of Colman Domingo, Peter Dinklage and Sharon D. Clarke.

Alice Brooks was the cinematographer of the film, which was edited by Myron Kerstein. On November 4, 2025, the film premiered in São Paulo, Brazil.

On November 21, 2025, Universal Pictures will release the film in the United States. On the same day, 121 women will compete for the Miss Universe 2025 title at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand including Lexie Brant of Australia, Gabriela Lacerda of Brazil, Eve Gilles of France, Annika Sager of Singapore, Praveenar Singh of Thailand and Audrey Eckert of the U.S.
