Sharpness 'pier'.
This leads into a canal lock - to the Sharpness & Gloucester Canal. Doesn't look as though it would resist much of a dunt.

💕 200m into today's icy #bikeride I saw a #fox 🦊 in the nature reserve. He was too quick to photo but may have had a pixie in his jaws given where he was.The #Ironbridge and Coalport bridge looking particularly frosty and the River #Severn high. Snow due.
Is anyone else in the west of the UK keeping a worried eye on the weather? I'm seeing a bigger than usual difference between wind speed and gust speed in the met office forecast and am not currently experiencing the forecasted gusts. Looks like it will be coming from the north during the peak too, which is unusual. Interested to hear anyone else's thoughts. #UK #weather #metoffice #southwest #westcountry #wales #gloucestershire #wiltshire #somerset #devon #dorset #cornwall #Severn #bristol

It’s amazing what you discover on just a four mile #walk in the #English #countryside! Too much for one toot in fact! It’s dripping with #history. Here’s some starters.

2. A view of the #River #Severn vale #landscape
