Ich hab so billige Smart Plugs gekauft, die mithilfe der 'Smart Life'-App ins WLAN geholt werden wollen. Mal abgesehen davon, dass die App >100MB ist: Krieg' ich die auch ins WLAN, ohne dem Hersteller meine WiFi-Credentials und potentiell ne Handvoll Backdoors frei Haus zu liefern?

Ich habe ein WLAN-Netz ohne Internet, das "SmartLife B..." heißt. Was hat es damit auf sich? Die SmartLife-Geräte sind ja im regulären WLAN eingebunden.

After hours of trying to integrate my Tuya/SmartLife bulbs into my HomeBridge setup (or even Hubitat or IFTTT), I am convinced the Tuya peeps are purposely making this discouragingly difficult and/or impossible to force the use of their own apps. I’m about to throw them in the garbage and buy literally any other smart bulb.

Can someone help me with #zigbee and the #SmartLife app?
I had a single button. Its worked great for ages. I added a remote, worked great. Now, I struggled to add a 4 button. I finally got that working, it involved holding down some buton combo... and now the single button doesnt work. Its paired, strong signal, but pressing the button yeilds no response. If I reboot the hub, single button works for a few minutes and then stops working. I'm losing my mind over this effing thing. Please help!

@dwmetz HomeKit has always been a pain for me to mix in with all the other stuff. I too am going the #eero route but have everything running through four primary solutions. Amazon #Alexa for voice automation, Philips #Hue for lighting, #SmartLife/#Tuya for home automation, additional security and lighting, and #Nest for HVAC. Alexa does a great job of bringing it all together in one decent interface which is also one of the reasons why I’m going with eero for the new mesh network with #wifi6e.
