I wonder if any scifi stories talked about how AI prisoners of wars are handled. I imagine there would be a Geneva convention RevX to deal with it. E.g. Sentient AIs can be interrogated but not opened up and internally inspected or something...

Last night I returned to my roots and circled back to my personal project, an adaptation of the Little Red Riding Hood folktale.

I got some outlining done on it which is helping me wrap my head around what I want to say, and this morning I woke up disappointed I couldn't just turn off the world and continue to dig deeper.

Part of my exploration has been the creation of illustrations that dovetail and augment the story. I've made several, and before I got on my 100 Birds series I was cranking out illustrations that helped tell my version of the tale. During my latest livestream I worked on one.

The awesome part about it is that the word prompts for this year's #FolktaleWeek were fundamental in my outlining. And the illustration that I've started working on for one of those word prompts is really helping me create the visual tone i want to have for the book's appearance.

I have a lot of exploring to do, and a lot of stylistic "winnowing down" of my inspiration and influences, but I feel like I'm on the right track! I can't wait to draw and write some more!!

imo, the only viability for the hero/villain foil re: artistic analysis is the examination of just who it is that thinks of whom as what, and why
beyond that it's antiquated and superficial at best, + often puritanical and dangerous

since either word is subjective, it's then about the attachment of meaning to abstract concepts within the context of your story. aka: slapping an empty word on your hard work.

I think you deserve better.
