I spent ~8 hours this weekend trouble-shooting why UEFI PXE booting wouldn’t work on Rocky 8-10 with Cobbler….
Turns out there’s a stupid bug in grub with EFI that caused a timeout while downloading a TINY image file over the network: https://forums.rockylinux.org/t/pxe-boot-uefi-mode/4852/2
Anyways, I have a working and mostly automated process that allows Cobbler’s standard UEFI PXE booting workflow with newer distributions…. There will be no blog posts or user guides, k thks bye.
