Dear #radio/#broadcasting geeks on the fediverse: How do I connect [1] to [2] and will I need a [3] in between? I'm trying to get the radio on my parents' old #Sony stereo working again. I glued the two wires from the twin lead to the coax input of this antenna thing in image [3] somehow and it works, but I have no idea what I'm doing and it's very flimsy.

ATT is framing this as a few Luddite holdouts. Horseshit.

There are areas that have no or terrible cell coverage. Landlines also have better privacy and consumer protections than cell service does. I've also found them more reliable in the aftermath of emergencies like earthquakes.

ATT jacked up the price of landline/DSL that my local ISP was doing in order to force customers off landlines.
