The first #book I've bought in 2026 goes right to the #ToBeRead pile, since it's a sequel, and I didn't finish reading the first book yet, but it's "The Ether Witch (2)" by Delemhach. I didn't even realize the second book came out months ago, but it was on sale on the Kindle store for $1, and I had credits, so I nabbed it.

I look at the overspill of #books from my shelves and the #ToBeRead piles and I sometimes feel overwhelmed like 'is this too many? Will I live long enough to read them all?' but keep succumbing to bargain find temptations but I am also in awe & love of the copious beautiful art and photography books and the strange compelling range of other fiction & nonfiction books I own.

The #ToBeRead pile is now at 2-feet high (0.6 meters) and and the e-reader queue would be higher if in paperback form... I'm a sucker for good #books.

The REAL problem with long #TBR #ToBeRead lists and shelves is that it’s hard to sneak in re-reads of old favorites.

Oh, and for those of us who are aging, the dawning realization that we won’t ever read all the things we want to.
