Western Conifer Seed Bug

Found this little true bug on a small pumpkin. An interesting looking little bug that has the digit '4' on it's wings and screws or rivets on it's back.

If you ever notice frothy white foam on a stem of a plant or a flower it might be a “cuckoo spit” in which lives a nymph of these fairly common froghoppers called Spittlebugs.
