Der Bund für Umwelt und Naturschutz Deutschland (BUND) und GdO haben die Gemeine Winterlibelle (Sympecma fusca) zur Libelle des Jahres gekürt. Sie hat mit ihrer Schwesterart der Sibirischen Winterlibelle (S. paedisca) eine bei einheimischen Libellen einmalige Fähigkeit: Sie überwintert als erwachsenes Insekt. Das schafft keine andere Art.

I finally could motivate myself to look through some pictures from my last vacation in Sweden in May last year (yeah, I know...).
But I took this really nice picture of a #dragonfly (Ischnura elegans, I think?).
I was laying on the floor for some time and I think my non-biology friends had a great time, too, but for differrent reasons, obviously 😅
Definitely one of my favourite #insect pictures I took so far!

I usually use the #BricastM7 reverbs. I mean, not the original unit, but impulse responses via #LinuxDSP IR plugins.
Today I spontaneously needed something "not as good". Like a more prominent, less pleasant, less natural… thinking in a positive way. Like the old #Alesis reverbs, they actually suck when it comes to sounding natural, but they are just so great for some use cases.
I found out I have the #Dragonfly plugins installed. I didn't even know. Apparently they come with #UbuntuStudio #Linux?

Curiosity and the uniqueness of this led me to look deeper.
#Intelcom is indeed a #Canadian #shipper , and it seems that #Dragonfly is a relatively new service. I'm presuming that plays a large part in how this might work.
They are aware of how prevalent these fake emails currently are and have confirmed that they do _not_ contact customers about ANY unpaid fees or duties.
