Today, November 19, 2025, we mark two significant advances in our struggle for the recognition of our rights:
Obtaining a copy of the lease – provided by the colonial administration, but received UNDER FULL RESERVATION OF RIGHTS AND UNDER EXPRESS PROTEST. We neither accept nor legitimize their jurisdiction; we must continue documenting and challenging their system.
Complete administrative response – including the requested account statements. Every exchange serves as further evidence of our resolve and our unwavering determination. Each colonial document is now integrated into our sovereign counter-archive. Every email, every attachment, every reply becomes part of the living memory of our resistance.
Yet we must remain vigilant: nothing is resolved. A hearing before the TAL remains scheduled for December 9, 2025. An attempt to terminate the lease is underway. The colonial threat is real and ongoing.
Please share this update and circulate this information widely. For now, our collective vigilance remains our strongest weapon.

While nations search for complex technological solutions at this year’s high-stakes climate meeting in the Amazon city of #Belém, a simpler yet powerful answer has been waiting in the wings. I saw it firsthand in the forests of #WestPapua’s Bird’s Head Peninsula in the company of #IndigenousYouth from the Amazon, the #CongoBasin, and #Borneo.
"They showed me a truth that the world has been overlooking: one of the most effective climate solutions lies in empowering Indigenous people.
