Yesterday, 38 year 7 & 8 students went on a trip to Birmingham University. As well as a tour of the campus, they had an academic taster session from a chemical engineering lecturer and talk on student life.

Absolutely loved "Cat Person" on Netflix. The film brilliantly portrays what it's like to date as a young woman, while masterfully exposing how society's expectations and pressures (and sometimes lack thereof) cause immeasurable harm to everyone. Yesterday the day went as usual. We had skills practice during the afternoon (in 3s we act as counsellor, client & observer) & were observed by our tutor.
They, unusually, call both classes together to announce the sudden retirement of my tutor! 💣
I’m struggling to process this if I’m honest. My peers are saying they can’t cope because they done like change… I literally can’t cope with change like this!
It's an international world. Tonight I will give a lecture to a group of students from the Notre Dame University in Lebanon on Norse Mythology. It will all be done from Søborg, Denmark. No need to fly.
