Because I'm looking for a good, short-range protocol that is less complex than #LiFi * for a "digital dead drop".
Most notably because USB dead drops have a shitton of disadvantages as #USB is not designed for that in mind, is extrenmely susceptible to sabotage and vandalism as a #PirateBox *, less complex than #FreedomBox * for #Sneakernet * operations.
Given the IrDA spec is relatively simple on the physical interface, reimplementing it with visible light would allow for more options espechally when it comes to "broadcasting" data to multiple devices when #datacasting like #Toosheh * would be overkill...

Unfortunately, most of the spicy file names in the NX mini firmware are dead ends - not referenced by any code.
There is code for USB PTP/MTP (not officially supported by the camera?!), and that code has a vendor extension to run (undocumented) "Samsung adjust scripts" over MTP. It just seems to not be called from anywhere either. Creating "i:\ptpconnect.txt" doesn't change how the camera is reporting over USB. Maybe there is another trick?

So I was like, wait, I know my keyboard and mouse are gamer™ certified RGB-LEDèd Newish Shit, but why do I insist on plugging them on this tiny #USB 3 hub, with the altogether too short cable that just flops off the desk and could be putting strain on the port?
Looks like this one desk hub I have is USB 2.0 *at best*, and seems to work just fine! I'll just stick in this USB A/B cable I had lying around, and whoo, it works.
Also if I ever get a new micro-HDMI cable so I can use my Raspberry Pi again as a desktop, this hub and longer cable will also make switching the keyboard and mouse around a lot easier.

Lost and Found
During achieving photos using Rapid Photo Downloaded in Linux Mint, I lost many folders containing thousands of photos from an external hard disk and am still recovering them.
My hard lesson: allow extra time to complete writing process, and always remove external hard drives, jump drives and SD cards safely. Do not yank them out based on seeing that transfer completed in the file explorer. Exfat format seems to be more vulnerable than NTFS.
