I am disappointed with the #DeceptivePatterns which subscription based businesses often use. Just got off the phone with #VirginMobile where I cancelled my Internet in May. Least I thought I did...
Forcing users to start or cancel contracts over the phone puts all the power with the vendor. I have no record of what they do, or what records they keep (or fail to).
Without a clear paper trail, I cannot track the wasted hours spent trying to cancel a service I no longer am using.
@jeder
Cell phone is going off the hook with unknown numbers today. I don't answer but it's still driving me around the bend!

Well done #BT for making things worse.
https://newsroom.ee.co.uk/calling-out-a-new-pricing-structure-in-pounds-and-pence/
The £1.50 price rise each year will be arguably more expensive for users on cheaper contracts. My original #VirginMobile plan in August 2018 was 2GB for £5 and #VMO2 charges a price rise of 3.9%+RPI which is more expensive than other operators. In that time, I have not switched contracts and my bill is now £7.38 for unlimited when the #O2 app eventually updates it. That's less than £2.50 in a 5 year period. Absolute scam imo.
Just out of interest, for anyone who isn't on #O2 (UK), do you get a #VirginMobile entry? Seems to be similar strength to #EE.
I'm just interested, since I'm fairly sure this shouldn't be happening on my new O2 5G SIM (I swapped recently from a Virgin Mobile (on EE) 4G SIM. I'm convinced something didn't go right with the SIM swap, since my number doesn't show on the SIM etc, networks except Vodafone do not appear as forbidden.
I continue to waste time browsing through #VirginMedia's forums for #VirginMobile and I find it absolutely horrifying that they've been cutting off people and they haven't even been providing PAC codes.
Like what the heck?
People shouldn't be unfairly punished just because of Virgin Media's botched systems and their botched way of migration. When manually searching for networks, EE on my phone still displays as Virgin. And, I still have a Virgin Mobile entry when manually searching for networks.
How hard is it just to send a new SIM card to anyone who's struggling with the migration?
---
Can't wait to see the chaos when they start migrating Virgin Mobile customers on #O2's 360 system as well, since they migrated all of us onto their legacy system.
Oh, and potentially bills being higher than they should be in April due to O2's tariff system (my tariff shows up as £13.29 unlimited 30D as an example, when I am paying £6.79 thanks to a discount bolt-on they put on). That's gonna be pure chaos.
I'm thankful that I do have all these benefits on O2 now, but I still feel sorry for people who were screwed over by this. I enjoy having access to unlimited data, unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, free roaming in 72 countries (25GB limit in standard EU 48 countries with 63 day FUP and unlimited usage in Travel Inclusive 24 countries with 2mbps speed cap) and O2 Priority for £6.79/mo, don't get me wrong. That's a stark contrast from 2GB, 1500 minutes, unlimited texts, one month rolling, unlimited WA+FB+Twitter, free roaming in 47 countries (no limit, 60 day FUP).

#VirginMedia is no longer offering #VirginMobile plans in the #UK
i think this is gonna be the last time saying this
i know i complain a lot about #O2, but if you really want a decent amount of data for the price on O2, please check out #VirginMobile. right now, #VirginMedia is still allowing people to sign up for Virgin Mobile (be warned that you have to do a credit check or something like that).
all plans on Virgin are 30 day rolling plans, and they come with rollover, and free Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and Twitter (i think) usage.
Virgin will be shutting down by December, and all customers get migrated to O2 and Virgin will double or make your data unlimited (I think any Virgin plans over 75GB will definitely become unlimited iirc)
I've been a customer who hasn't changed plans since August 2018, and I now get unlimited data for £6.79, after my original plan was 2GB data for £5.
My mum just recently switched over to Virgin in May from #TescoMobile (please don't sign up to Tesco's plans unless you want good customer service, overpriced, EU data roaming to go in the future) (please bear in mind that we're on the same account) and she got migrated over to O2 yesterday and she now gets 50GB for £7 (before Volt benefits, will probably be 100GB once they get applied). Her plan was originally 15GB for £7 on Virgin.
#3G services are being switched off across the #UK soon, here's what you need to know.

Zmiany w ofercie Virgin Mobile: co się dzieje z abonamentami?

Well I’ve been here for a few days and on the plus side I had all my Covid related QR codes ready and sailed through immigration easily enough. On the downside I unthinkingly turned on my phone for a minute while waiting for my luggage and almost immediately reached some maximum roaming data limit and got charged £50 in an instant. Thanks #virginmobile you useless turds.

@LukaszOlejnik Welp, I cannot even login to #Twitter today, as the Polish telephone operator #VirginMobile is not working anymore for #2FA (at least the numbering range beginning with 799 ***). I do not plan to return to the #birdsite anyway, but just wanted to login for the last time, to participate in the famous poll:

Oh, welp 🤷♂️💁♂️ Screw it.
Nunca mais eu reclamo da Net. Minha velocidade no momento... #VirginMobile
Ça existe encore des gens chez #VirginMobile ? Juste pour rigoler, et voir s'ils bloquent les protocoles autres que web, dans ce foutu procole de crypto-terroriste-nazis nommé SSH…
