After a week full of posts (for which I somehow possessed a large quantity of themed images), how about one more for the road? 🛣️ #AlphabetChallenge #WeekRforRoads Colorado

Over two lanes of a four-lane, divided highway along a snowy, high-mountain pass, an informative digital sign reads Buckle Up Buttercup

This is a once-in-a-lifetime shot, trust me 🤣... Reading vertically upwards: car, human, zebra, giraffes, bat, currawong. Photobombers! #AlphabetChallenge #WeekRforRoads #UrbanGaze #HumansOfBlueSky #wildlife #birds #mammals #statues #photography #streetscape #StrangerThanFiction #EastCoastKin

A bizarre coincidence. In shot are a human, three animal statues: zebra, baby giraffe, near life-size adult giraffe, and flying immediately overhead, a fruit-bat being pursued by a Currawong. A combination of animals unlikely ever to be repeated, let alone photographed. I was following the currawong and bat, and they flew into this shot. Hard to say who is photobombing whom.

Lake Hāwea, South Island, New Zealand View through the tour bus windscreen #AlphabetChallenge #WeekRforRoads #photography #landscape #NZ #lake #Hāwea #nature #EastCoastKin #PhotographersUnited

Scenic view of a large lake, taken through the windscreen of a tour bus driving down the road. Directly in front is the road, which then disappears to the right behind the foot of a mountain. In front of the road is a large blue lake, bordered in the distance by a range of snow-capped mountains. In the middle distance, floating above the lake, is a bank of very low cloud, almost at our eye-level.

Kea on the road (Nestor notabilis) Large, well-camouflaged ground-nesting parrot from New Zealand, by the TranzAlpine railroad at Arthur's Pass. (posted wrong crop) #AlphabetChallenge #WeekRforRoads #photography #birds #NZ #parrots #kea #nature #wildlife #EastCoastKin #PhotographersUnited

A large olive-green and brown parrot standing on the roadbed of a railroad. It is a wild bird, but clearly not scared of human presence.
