My kid wrote me a message using the Tendrilis script!
Thank You again to @blinry for drawing our attention to this aesthetically pleasing writing system.
More info on Tendrilis: anomalis.gumroad.com/l/tendril

A white A5 card has been decorated with a green vine, red and blue flowers, and bees, all drawn on with felt tip pen. The vine is sprouting little tendrils or leaves that are in fact a message. The message contains information on someone's plans for the afternoon.

Before making important decisions, Chinese rulers consulted their ancestors: cattle shoulder blade bones and tortoise shells were placed in the fire. The cracks caused by the heat were read as an omen of things to come. After the ritual, the day and reason for the questioning as well as the answer were carved on the bones. I have been very interested in Tibetan Buddhism as of late and I recently learned how to recite the Seven Line Prayer as well as write it out accurately. I am so captured by the Tibetan script's beauty that I wanted to try my hand at it. This is one of the ume scripts called Tsugtong. I still need to learn to terminate the sentences properly.

I was looking at these posters from the Gutenberg museum as a way to introduce my curious daughter (age 9) to the world's writing systems.

However, I wondered if anyone on here knows of any other (age-appropriate) resources in book (prreferred) or poster form that I should consider?

Cool fact!

But it's not the only writing system specially adapted to an African language. Another example is the Vai syllabary: omniglot.com/writing/vaisyllab
