SmallRig ユニバーサル編み込みショルダーストラップ

一眼カメラを使っている人は何らかのストラップをつけて使っていると思いますが、カメラに付属のメーカー純正品を使っている人が多いのでしょうか。私がおもに使っているのは片手用のストラップで、HAKUBAのカメラグリップLHというものなのですが、これに加えて首掛け用のストラップも併用しています。これまではAmazonで適当に購入した細めで短めのネックストラップを使っていたのですが、取り付け部のリングがカメラのストラップホール形状に合っていないので使い心地が今ひとつでした。

購入したのは2年半ほど前でこれまで我慢して使っていたのですが、そろそろ買い替えてもいいだろうと急に思い立って、今度はクライミングロープのものを調べてみました。Amazonには中国製らしきよくわからないブランドのものが1000円前後でたくさん出品されているのですが、そんな中でSmallRigからユニバーサル編み込みショルダーストラップというものが発売されているのを見つけました。これは取り付け部の形状もカメラに合っていますし、その取り付け部は本革製で安っぽさがなく、そしてSmallRigというブランドで安心させてくれるということで、3390円とちょっと高めでしたがこれを購入することにしました。

届いてみるとやはり品質は良さそうですし、カメラへの取り付けも非常に簡単でした。しかしそれでいてしっかりしていて、勝手に外れてしまうようなことはなさそうです。長さは110cmということで、たすき掛けにして脇から背中に回しておいて、そのままグリップを掴んで横でも縦でもスムーズに構えることができるちょうどいい長さでした。また、丸く向きのないロープ形状なので、ねじれや裏表を気にする必要がありません。これが思いがけず快適で、小さなストレスを感じることがなくなりました。

グレーのロープとブラウンのレザーの組み合わせで落ち着いた見た目なので、誰にでも合うのではないでしょうか。私はもっと派手な色目のもののほうが好きだったりしますが、いい加減もっと落ち着くべき年齢かもしれません。まあ似合わないということはないと思うので、しばらく使っていきたいと思います。
