Trying something new, leaning towards th 70's style 8n wearing a jumpsuit, but like all clothes, the fit leaves something to be desired. Shoulders and upper chest are tight, as is stomach when i sit, the rest is fine. The waist ferls a bit loose, but i typically wear a belt, and wear it tight, so that's likely just me, i mean I've never liked drawstring pants or elastic waistbands either. I swear, i need someone in St Louis who can custom tailor clothes for me ad nothing fits, i mean i think my actual pants size is 39X33 which doesn't exist.

I cleaned out my #wardrobe over the weekend. Now, I ask myself: Will my 'need for tweed' ever be satisfied? So far, I own four sports jackets, two waistcoats, and two overcoats. Not to mention my three flat caps. They are all #Harris, #Moon, or #Donegal #tweed, all vintage, and made in England. I thrifted them at various places.

This is still healthy, and completely normal, yes? I mean, I'm still missing a proper three-piece suit. And then there's #Islay tweed …

I'm trying to conceptualize a spring/summer wardrobe with fewer black elements. Not because I want to be less goth, but because I sometimes have to go outside when it's hot and sunny and I don't want to melt into a puddle every time. (Yes, I do notice a difference between black and non-black colors, although fiber content is important, too; which is why I also want to incorporate more cotton/linen wovens into my spring/summer wardrobe.)

If I go with the capsule wardrobe principle of "basic pieces in mainly neutral colors", I run up against the fact that white is impractical for me, and also I doubt whether I look good in it.
I look meek and the bad kind of pale in greys and most warm tones.
Off-white/the color of unbleached cotton might work. Cool-toned browns might work, too.

I have already concluded that navy blue is functionally a neutral color for me, but it's also still very dark.

I haven't messed around with patterns and prints a lot, so there might be room for exploration.

What would you do, fellow clothes DIYers? Say "screw the rules" and grab some jewel tones (I love those)? Or treat this as a "limitation fosters creativity" thing?
