The point of therapy is that you challenge your current patterns and get the confidence and support to try new ways.

For me this meant that on Tuesday I managed to trigger a trauma response. The therapists helped me get through it, but it shook me quite a lot.

A couple of years ago I would have just accepted this reaction as normal for me. But now I know it isn't normal and something worth working on. Even though the work is hard.
