For example, it is far cheaper for me to acquire MERV-13 furnace filters in the size most commonly used here instead of the square filters.
I also make life easier for myself by constructing a frame from coroplast and tape (or hot glue -- either works) which makes swapping out filters a cinch.

Ich hab mir einen #Togofilter zugelegt. Das sind diese tragbaren #Luftfilter, die ein bisschen wie Getränkeflaschen ausschauen.
Gedacht war er für die nächste Reise in den Osterferien. Im Sommer konnte ich ja darauf bestehen, nur draußen zu essen, aber Ende März geht das vielleicht nicht immer.
Wir wollen auch viel besichtigen. Jetzt ist mir eingefallen, dass ja jede Sehenswürdigkeit, die etwas auf sich hält, einen Security Check macht. Insbesondere sicher auch in Paris. Darf ich da so ein kleines elektronisches Gerät mitnehmen? Wie genau wird da geschaut? 🤷
Ich kann den Filter aber auch nicht im Hotel lassen, das läuft ja dem Zweck zuwider, ihn dann im Kaffeehaus dabeizuhaben. Und im Zweifelsfall an der Sperre wegwerfen geht auch nicht. Abgesehen von der Verschwendung wäre mir das viel zu teuer.
