A photo of a male Anna's hummingbird (Calypte anna) in low, orangish-hued evening light with out of focus leaves in front of it giving it a hazy green-gold look. It is perched on a thin, bare, curving branch with its eyes closed and its beak partially open like it's snoring. Its feathers are fluffed out so it looks a bit round. It has iridescent magenta and gold colored feathers on its head and throat.

I didn't realize that the California Quail is the state bird of California. Like... duh? 🤣

Here are two lovely quorbs. The first is a female, her picture taken by a Bird Buddy feeder.

The second is a stately male showing off his quorbness and beautiful black plume. I do not know the photographer.

While looking for more #Quails I came across a company calls Replacements that fills in discontinued designs in your china and silver and crystal and all kinds of wonderful things. I purchased the following two items because I COULDN'T RESIST! The design is called Quail Blue by Furnivals, and I got a 4-cup coffee pot plus a cup and saucer. Here they are.
