How to fix dyes in new clothing? Help needed.
I recently purchased clothing in both bright, mixed colors and rich solid colors made in Nepal at an import shop in Berkeley. The cloth is thin, but not sheer, 100% cotton. No clue as to dyes used.
The woman at the shop suggested using 30% vinegar to set the colors, she said it works but gave no further details. 30% vinegar easier to find than anticipated, bought some at a hardware store.
Advice I read is all over the place. Vinegar?Salt? Cold water? How much dilution of 30% vinegar?
