I once was at a Canadian automotive winter test facility, where manufacturers test their cars in extreme conditions, and they also teach winter driving.

20 police officers were told to drive a course on the ice lake and not to hit the traffic cones. 20 officers took the course on the ice.

Every officer took out most cones on the sheer ice. Every. Most.

They were then told, "Don't look at the cones"

Second round, no cones were hit.

No cones.
