Iāve been posting my film work here for a few weeks, and Iāve noticed something refreshing ā people actually take time to respond here.
It feels like engagement means something different when itās not tied to an algorithm.
For those whoāve been on Mastodon longer, how do you define āsuccessā on a platform like this?
Iāve noticed something about Feiverse lately ā the feed is getting flooded with meaningless posts.
You scroll, and half of what you see are random phrases followed by an external link. No context, no thoughts, no effort.
It really feels like those posts are generated or cross-posted automatically through some third-party software. And while I get that automation helps with promotion, it kinda ruins the experience for everyone else.
Wouldnāt it be great if Feiverse had an option to hide or filter out such auto-posted content?
That way, the main feed would stay more authentic and filled with real voices instead of bot-like noise.
What do you guys think ā should platforms start giving us more control over what kind of posts we see?

So, there was one user signed up on my Friendica instance, but I had to delete that account and explicitly set that my Friendica instance is not open yet for public sign-ups. I am really sorry for the inconvenience. I live in a place where electricity is very limited, which is why I often use mobile phones for administrative tasks rather than my laptop PC. I sincerely apologize, and I hope that one former Friendica user does not get angry with me for that inconvenience.
